Spennymoor Town have announced that Hartlepool-based Orangebox Training Solutions will be the club’s new front of shirt sponsor

Spennymoor Town have announced that Hartlepool-based Orangebox Training Solutions will be the club’s new front of shirt sponsor.

The partnership is linked with the commercial training arm of Orangebox and the company has already started to deliver a range of courses at The Brewery Field.

And Spennymoor have paraded the new-look strip, supplied by Teesside-based Motif8 and manufactured by Errea, in preparation for general sale ahead of the start of a new National League North season in August.

Orangebox’s logo is across the traditional black and white home shirt as well as the new-look blue away kit. There will also be some of the company’s branding around The Brewery Field when Jamie Chandler’s side play.

Newcastle United fan Simon Corbett, Orangebox’s CEO and a former non-league goalkeeper, said: “The kits and logo look brilliant. I’m a big black and white fan so it is great to see our logo on this Spennymoor strip.

“I remember playing here a number of years ago in goal for Marske and it is nice to be back here and part of a new era with Spennymoor.

“I was keen to create a new partnership. We were invited to a game at the back end of last season to get a feel for it. It’s a fantastic set-up and one I was keen for us to be involved with.

“Having been involved in football for many years and as a keen follower of football, I’m really looking forward to coming down here regularly with my two sons – I’m sure they will want to wear the black and white shirts too!

“Since I launched Orangebox in 2016 on my own, with drive and passion we have delivered commercial training courses. We are also a community focused organisation and try to help as much as we can.

“We want to extend our network of clients and believe this new partnership will help us as we continue to grow.”

The partnership is exciting for Spennymoor too. The County Durham club have already turned to Orangebox for training in certain areas and further opportunities are planned to develop Moors staff.

Ian Geldard, Spennymoor’s managing director, said: “It is fantastic to have created this partnership with Orangebox, our first new shirt sponsor in a long time.

“We want more sponsors at The Brewery Field and we are keen to show them how we want to work with companies as partners so that the relationship can benefit them as much as us, just like we have with Orangebox.

“Running a club like this at this level, there is a need for staff training, be it in first aid, stewarding, health and safety … I am just pleased this partnership can help us with our training needs too.

“Simon is a great person who has been involved in football already, he’s even played at The Brewery Field in his younger days when the beautiful surface here was less pleasant. We look forward to seeing him more this season.”

Motif8, who have been strong partners with Spennymoor for a number of years, are supplying the club’s new Orangebox-sponsored kits for the 11th year in a row.

Ian said: “They have been a fantastic partner for us and designed some fantastic kits. Along with Errea they have come up with this latest excellent design.

“We trust each other, and we know we can get Motif8 on the phone straight away when we need them. The turnaround is quick – and in this industry you need that – and we look forward to working with them again over the coming season.”
