Job Description:
Pickers: Ambient – goods that are stored at ambient temperature ie tinned goods, pop, alcohol, toilet rolls eggs etc. Working early morning shifts earliest start is 5am, working 5 days over 7 (typically get one weekend in 3 off work) not particularly heavy work so would suit women, its very fast paced and they will use a LLOP LLC (long life chill) – just like working in a big fridge goods include meats, butter, milk etc.

Also working 5 days over 7 and shift start time is 6pm.

This is a minimum of 30 hours per week but this changes dependant on volume and the longest shift at peak is up to 8 hours. Standards : The Warehouse Standards team works to ensure the warehouse environment is kept clear and clean duties involve clearing away waste cardboard and wrappings, clearing up any spillages, moving pallets etc.

Shifts vary but typically earlies 6am start and lates 12:00 (lunchtime) can be heavy work. Cleaners : Typical cleaning duties, offices, communal areas and sometime cleaning areas of the warehouse. 4:30am -12:00 Both 5 days over 7 and also they must be able to get to the RDC under their own steam as they are reluctant to employ people that don’t live in Darlington unless they have their own transport.
