Orangebox Training in Hartlepool has teamed up Property Webmasters based in Church Street to create A Digital Academy. The sole aim of the academy is to help tackle the digital skills gap and un-employment in the local area and region. The first cohort will start from 19th November 2018 for 4 weeks.
Orangebox has been working hard the last couple of years building up its client base and footprint in the region. The company has been very successful with Employability courses, getting unemployed people back into to work with recent partnerships with the likes of Engie, Utility Alliance, Blueline Taxis and End Clothing.
The Digital Academy brings the best of a local training and digital company to offer all their experience and knowledge on to the learners and working with them on the best digital solutions. In the modern-day world where there is a constant and rapid changes in technology and the digital landscape, it’s aim is to develop the learner’s digital skills and achieve real success. The Academy will be held in the heart of the digital Skills Quarter in Church Street, Hartlepool.

Property Webmasters Ltd who have partnered up with Orangebox Training are a creative agency based in Hartlepool. Jamie Arthur, CEO, say, “Our growing team offer full creative services to clients from various markets and operating from many countries globally, our core services are categorised as Website Design/Development, Graphic Design and Online Marketing which includes Search Engine Optimisation and newsletter management amongst other things.”

The Digital Academy will allow unemployed learners the chance to earn real qualifications relevant in the modern-day jobs market. The Academy we will offer 19+ years old, claiming benefit or minimum wage earners, earning under £15,736.50p the option of enrolling on to a 4-week digital academy. The Academy will offer employability skills allowing a bridge way to leaning digital promotion for business and graphic design. Learners will also be getting hand on experience with Property Webmasters while studying at the academy and gaining real world experience. Each learner will complete: Level 1 Certificate in Digital Skills, Level 2 Award in Digital Promotion for Business and finally a Level 2 Certificate in Creative Media – Graphic Design.
Leaners will complete modules such as digital promotion for business, understanding search engine optimisation for business and social media. They will then move onto Graphic Design with modules such as to plan and produce work to a design brief and typography and layout within graphic design, vector- and pixel-based images and advertising within graphic design.
These qualifications will then allow the learners to apply for jobs with modern day qualifications relevant to the jobs market and a progression route into Higher Education. Orangebox Training would love to hear from you if you would like to register your interest in this academy.
